Meet Ali

Welcome! My name is Ali Manning. I’m a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and a Certified Potty Learning Consultant. I live in the Seacoast Area of New Hampshire with my husband and our two children.

Let me start by saying that as the mother of two young children, I've been where you are! My daughter was almost two when she began to sleep through the night. TWO! Needless to say, I was exhausted and beyond desperate for sleep. At the time, I thought she was just a bad sleeper. I didn't realize that there are so many factors that affect sleep, and that there were lots of little things I could adjust within her schedule and do to help her learn to self-soothe and eventually sleep independently. Thankfully, a friend encouraged me to reach out to a sleep consultant. Through our work together, we were able to get our daughter falling asleep independently and staying asleep through the night. Once I started getting the sleep I needed again, I felt like a new person.

When our son was born in 2021, I knew that I couldn't go another two years without sleep. This time, I had more knowledge about sleep and strategies to use to help him develop good sleep habits from the beginning. These experiences led me to want to learn more and more about about sleep and to share what I know with others. I ultimately decided to become a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management so that I can help families find the same relief that I did once we were all able to get a good night sleep again.

As my baby clients began to grow into toddlers, many parents reached out in search of support with potty training, and I decided to become certified as a potty learning consultant as well.

I have been passionate about helping children and families for many years. I have a B.S. in Child Development from Colby-Sawyer College, and an M.Ed. in Reading and Writing from the University of New Hampshire. I worked in the public school setting for 20 years; first as a first grade teacher, and then as a literacy specialist / instructional coach. With many years of working with young children and families under my belt, I understand that all children are different, and there is not a one-size fits all solution to parenting, sleep teaching or potty learning. I believe that all children are capable of achieving their sleep and potty learning goals, and I will work closely with you to learn about your child, his or her social-emotional needs, and your parenting style so that we can find find solutions that feel like a good fit for your family. I'm looking forward to working with you!
